3 red beets
4 tbsp butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
Kosher salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Evenly slice turnips then dice into small pieces. (make sure they are the same size so that they cook evenly.)
Cut the greens from the beets and discard. (if beets came with greens)
Peel beets and then evenly dice them.
Place diced beets in a small pot and blanch for 2 minutes in boiling water.
Melt butter in a large skillet.
Add turnips and simmer on low heat until tender.
Once tender, add blanched beets.
Heat through and season with kosher salt and pepper to taste.
Add maple syrup and remove from heat.
