Gluten-Free Options at Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI)
I’ve flown in and out of the Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) several times, making mental notes about gluten-free options but finally decided to put pen to paper so that you can use this resource next time you are traveling.
My favorite restaurant at BWI Airport is Phillips Seafood! They have an amazing Crab Cob Salad!
Because this is a compilation instead of a review, note that gluten-free options can vary and change, and you should always ask to speak with staff about your dietary restrictions before dining out. I always let staff know and ask for workers to change their gloves with my order.
As is the case with most airports, you can find gluten-free options at most convenience stores/newsstands around the airport. Options include fruit, packaged snacks, and bottled beverages.
Arby’s (A) – Roast beef but be very aware of staff changing gloves and cross contamination!
BGR the Burger Joint (B)- All burgers can be served sans bun.
Chipotle (A)-Tex mex fast food. My recommendation – Meat with salsa (no corn salsa or corn tortillas due to cross contamination alert from Chipotle).
Jamba Juice (A)- Smoothies are gluten-free but may contain dairy.
Pinkberry (A)- All frozen yogurts are gluten-free, not dairy-free. One dairy-free flavor is served daily. To see a full nutritional guide, click here.
Potbelly Sandwich Works (A)- Salads can be made gluten-free.
Silver Diner (B)- Traditional diner with breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. To see gluten-free options, click here.
Potbelly Sandwich Works– Salads can be made gluten-free and sandwich’s with no bread.
The Greene Turtle– Burgers, salads, bar food. Has a gluten-free menu, click here.
Phillips Seafood – Menu items can be modified to be gluten-free. My recommendation – Crab Cob Salad (sans cheese for Dairy Allergy).
Smoothie King– All smoothies are gluten-free except for Power Punch Plus, Muscle Punch, The Hulk and Coconut Surprise. Filter other dietary needs on their website.
