Simple Au Jus Gravy (Brown Gravy)

One of our favorite foods is a French Dip & Swiss. I found this Au Jus recipe that is really easy to make. It also works great as a brown gravy over some mashed potatoes.

Here is what you will need:

  • 3 cups water
  • 4 tsp beef bouillon (Better the Bouillon brand is GF and has wonderful flavor!)
  • 1 tsp soy sauce (please confirm it is GF)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (or minced garlic)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • corn starch (to thicken if using as a gravy for potatoes)

In a medium sauce pan bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; whisk in beef bouillon.  Whisk in the soy sauce, garlic, salt and pepper.  If making a gravy add corn starch or flour to thicken.
